The Facts

The Baby Boomer generation currently holds 74% of the nation’s wealth[1], and has the potential to control up to 85% once they receive their inheritance from the Traditionalist generation.

The Baby Boomer generation, now 85 million strong with immigration, also owns 53% of owner-occupied houses in the United States, which is the biggest share for one generation since the government started collecting data in 1900.[2]

Up to 10,000 Baby Boomers retire each day. Most plan to “age in place:” update their current home one more time so they don’t have to move.[3]

The Opportunity

We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture sales from Baby Boomers who will soon experience a one-time windfall from the recent tax cuts. However, we have to be able to develop a sales and install strategy for Baby Boomers that is implemented through a mostly Millennial workforce.
