Laura Irons Finley

Laura Irons Finley began her career in the HVAC industry in Louisiana, where she quickly advanced to the role of office manager within six months of hire. She also served as the company’s HR operator, playing a key role in growing the business from $2 million to $9 million in revenue. During her time there, she doubled the office staff and implemented written processes and procedures to help the business run more efficiently. This hands-on experience gave her a deep understanding of the unique challenges small, family-run service companies face and sparked her passion for helping business owners achieve greater success.

A University of Louisiana at Lafayette graduate and former Profit Coach client, she joined BDR as an Accounting Coach in 2018. Since then, she has helped 100+ companies build consistency in their financial reporting, giving business owners the tools and clarity to make confident, informed decisions. She thrives on supporting clients by developing systems that create more freedom and reduce stress, allowing them to focus on team development and long-term growth.

In 2022, Laura was recognized as one of ACHR News’ Top 40 Under 40 for her contributions to the industry. Her passion for education and mentorship led to a promotion in 2024 to Coach Development Specialist. In this role, she leads the training of incoming accounting coaches and develops resources to strengthen the overall coaching team. Laura also finds fulfillment in seeing the success of the coaches she’s mentored and the lasting impact of her work with clients.

Laura says, “As an accounting coach, my primary focus is to assist owners and their families to achieve great business success. I love the numbers; they always tell the truth.”

Outside work, she enjoys practicing yoga, spending time outdoors in the summer, cooking for her family, and attending local trivia or bingo nights with her wife.
